Martha and Ellen played the game Where’s the lie? during her appearance, where she reads three facts about herself and Ellen has to find the lie.

In the first set, the three truths Martha read out loud were that she was struck by lightning three times, that she’s going to be a shark on Shark Tank and last, she did a handstand on the Ellen show.

The lie ended up being that she was going to be a shark on Shark Tank.

Ellen was shocked she was struck by lightning three times, to which Martha said: ‘It’s actually crazy. I think its actually good for you. If it doesn’t kill you, I think it’s good for you.

‘Well yeah, of course if it doesn’t kill you,’ Ellen added.

The host asked her: ‘What does it feel like?

Martha said: ‘Horrible. Once it came out of my water facet. I was leaning against my iron sink and I saw the lightning go down the pipe in my garden then back up through the water, hit me on my stomach and threw me on the floor. And my husband found me. I was alive, but not very comfortable.’

Adding: ‘The other time, the lightning bolt came right through the skylight in my house…  I just attract electricity…’

‘You’re so powerful,’ Ellen chimed in.

‘I’m so powerful,’ Martha added.

On Shark Tank, she said she was asked but she said she didn’t want to live in California.

For the next set, the truths were that she dated Sir Anthony Hopkins but broke up with him because she couldn’t stop thinking of him as Hannibal Lecter, that she was asked to host SNL and her biggest regret was saying no and finally, that she has a tattoo of her dog Creme Brulee on her foot.

Ellen guessed that the SNL one and the tattoo one were the truths.

Martha said: ‘I have a big scary house in Maine that’s way by itself on 100 acres in the forest and I couldn’t even imagine taking Anthony Hopkins there. I couldn’t, all I could think of was him eating you know…’

Ellen asked: ‘Wait did you date him?’ to which Martha said ‘yeah.’

‘And you stopped because of that?’ Ellen asked, to which Martha simply said ‘yeah.’

The lie turned out to be the the tattoo: ‘I have no tattoos. I wouldn’t think of having a tattoo.’

Ellen said ‘I wouldn’t either, but I just thought, you’re tough.’

‘It’s not about being tough, it’s about growing old with tattoos that get stretched out and ugly,’ Martha explained.

Ellen explained that a foot tattoo was safe and wouldn’t get stretched out, as opposed to one on the chest or back.

On Martha’s website, she is selling pieces molded from the 14 ceramic sculptures she designed and made while in prison that is a nativity scene.

Martha was in prison for five months at a West Virginia prison camp for women after she was convicted on several felony charges.

‘Well there was a ceramic studio at this lovely place in West Virginia. I call it camp and I spent my evenings, every single evening… a nativity scene. Camels, donkeys, Jesus and Mary and Joseph and the wise men.

The recreated pieces she is selling on her website Martha.com is the second best selling item on there this Christmas, she said.

She said she called the prison for the molds but they had thrown them all away: ‘They had a whole warehouse of beautiful molds and they are all gone so no more ceramics class. There shouldn’t be any prison. Period.’

Martha is also opening a restaurant in Vegas called The Bedford by Martha Stewart and also her own wine; the restaurant opens in the spring.
