Newcastle have submitted a formal offer to Atalanta for the services of Duvan Zapata and Robin Gosens, according to Italian outlet ANSA.
Eddie Howe is said to be keen on making further additions to his squad on Tyneside ahead of the Premier League run-in.
It is claimed that Zapata and Gosens are high on Newcastle’s list of potential targets, with the Magpies having already tabled a bid in the region of £42million in the hope of snapping up both players.
However, Atalanta are expected to reject the offer as they feel that it does not reflect the value of the aforementioned pair.
