PS Plus February 2022 free PS4 and PS5 games: Far Cry 3, Avengers, Tony Hawk, Sackboy

It’s almost time for Sony to reveal the next wave of free PlayStation Plus games for February 2022.

The February PS Plus free PS4 and PS5 games will be unveiled by Sony on January 26 at 4.30pm.

Of course, if it’s anythlg like past months, there’s a good chance the games will leak early.

Once the games are revealed, subscribers will have less than a week to download the existing games, which include Dirt 5 and Persona 5 Strikers.

In the run up to the February 2022 PS Plus reveal, fans have been having fun predicting the line-up online.

In a monthly predictions thread on Reddit, subscribers have listed the games they believe will join PS Plus next month.

One game unlikely to appear on PS Plus is Uncharted Lost Legacy, especially once the upcoming PS5 version is released.

Much more likely to appear is PS5 launch title Sackboy, which could be the free PlayStation 5 game for the month.

With very few first-party games to choose from, other realistic predictions include Devil May Cry 5, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2, and Far Cry 3.

Elsewhere, some fans are convinced that Marvel’s Avengers will feature in PS Plus.

No Man’s Sky is also listed, although there’s a big debate whether Hello Games would allow this to happen.

Other games mentioned in the thread include Ni No Kuni 2, Strange Brigade, Kingdom Come Deliverance and Call of Duty Modern Warfare.

With Dying Light 2 and Elden Ring about to launch, some people believe the respective publishers will hype the games with PS Plus versions of the original Dying Light and Dark Souls Remastered.

As for the current batch of games, subscribers have until early February to download Deep Rock Galactic, Dirt 5 and Persona 5 Strikers.

Deep Rock Galactic is a fun co-op game in which players control a squad of badass space Dwarves.

“Deep Rock Galactic is a 1-4 player co-op FPS featuring badass space Dwarves, 100% destructible environments, procedurally-generated caves, and endless hordes of alien monsters.

“Work together as a team to dig, explore, and fight your way through a massive cave system filled with hordes of deadly enemies and valuable resources. You will need to rely on your teammates if you want to survive the most hostile cave systems in the galaxy.”

Dirt 5 is a PS5 launch title developed by Codemasters, while Persona 5 Strikers mixes the classic RPG series with gameplay similar to Dynasty Warriors.

“Jump into the stylish world of Persona in an all-new story featuring the Phantom Thieves as they embark on an epic road trip across Japan.

“A summer vacation with close friends takes a sudden turn as a distorted reality emerges, thrusting you in an epic tale as you strike back against the corruption overtaking cities. Dynamically control your team during explosive action combat as you reveal the truth and redeem the hearts of those imprisoned at the centre of the crisis.”
