'I'm not being rude!' James Martin hits back as co-star issues apology on his behalf

James Martin, 49, appeared on Jodie Kidd’s latest episode of her YouTube show Kidd in a Sweet Shop, were he showed her around his vast car collection. And as they took his latest edition out for a spin, viewers realised just how passionate he was about motoring itself.

As the two gushed over his first edition Pirelli Escort, they decided to take it out for a drive.

“I’ve never driven this before,” James giggled, as they buckled themselves in.

“I’ve never even sat in it!”

But as they got going, it was clear to all that it definitely wouldn’t be the last time he’d get behind the wheel.

“Bit like Ferrari, that ridiculous thing, that stupid one-seater that you have to drive with a helmet on.

“The reason you have to drive with drive with a helmet on is because you look like a right… driving it!” he shrieked, referring to the Ferrari Monza.

He added: “I’m not being rude…” before Jodie burst out laughing and issued an apology to Ferrari fans.

“Sorry to anyone who’s just out a massive deposit down on their Ferrari,” she winced as the TV cook tried to justify his comments.
