Oleander plants are amongst the most versatile of houseplants, with dozens of uses in southern and coastal areas. They tolerate a wide range of conditions, including difficult soil, salt spray, high pH, severe pruning, reflected heat from pavements and walls, and drought. However it is crucial to know that these plants are poisonous. Ingesting even a small amount of foliage, flowers, or shoots from an oleander plant can be fatal. Contact with the foliage and flowers can cause severe skin irritations and allergic reactions as well.
With spring just around the corner, flowers will be starting to bloom. People love putting flowers in their homes, but not many realise that several common houseplants can be incredibly dangerous.
B Well CBD plant experts have identified dangerous plants people should be made aware of.
They said: “Indoor houseplants can have so many benefits and with more people working from home, houseplant sales are “blooming”.
“But not everyone is aware that some plants can be incredibly toxic. Not just for pets, but for young children as well who might not know any better.

Caladium is a genus of flowering plants in the family Araceae.
They are often known by the common name elephant ear, heart of Jesus, and angel wings.
With names like those who would have thought it could be toxic?
The plant experts said: “While it can produce some very pretty colours, all parts of the caladium are considered toxic to humans and animals.”
