Sounding defeated, the mother-of-two, who resides in Louisiana with her husband Jamie Watson, confessed: ‘I guess so.’

Chang also asked the Zoey 101 alum directly what caused the ‘rift’ between them and what she regrets not saying, nodding to her new memoir Things I Should Have Said.

Originally, Jamie Lynn titled her 240-page book I Must Confess: Family, Fame, and Figuring it Out referencing lyrics in Britney’s 1998 hit Baby One More Time.

The Toxic singer has publicly criticized her family for not supporting her during her 13-year conservatorship, which ended on November 12, including Jamie Lynn, whom she called a ‘mean a**’, back in July.

Her critique of her sibling was in response to her lack of support in having her their father, Jamie Sears, 69, removed as her conservator.

Britney said at the time: ‘Not only did my family not do a godda** thing, my dad [Jamie] was all for it. Anything that happened to me had to be approved by my dad…

‘And my dad acted like he didn’t know that I was told I had to be tested over the Christmas holidays before they sent me away, when my kids went to home to Louisiana. He was the one who approved all of it. My whole family did nothing.’

Shortly after, Jamie Lynn broke her silence with a since-deleted video where she claimed to have ‘only loved, adored, and supported my sister.’

Jamie Lynn said: ‘I don’t care if she wants to run away to a rainforest and have zillion babies in the middle of nowhere, or if she wants to come back and dominate the world the way she has so many times before…

‘Because I have nothing to gain or lose either way. This situation does not affect me either way, because I’m only her sister who’s only concerned about her happiness.’

On July 17, Britney took Jamie Lynn to task again over covering a remix of her 2011 song Till the World Ends at the 2017 Radio Disney Music Awards where she was honored.

Britney said: ‘I don’t like that my sister showed up at an awards show and performed my songs to remixes! My so-called support system hurt me deeply!’

The pair have not been pictured together since 2018 when their families vacationed together.

Back in October, in snippets of her memoir, obtained by TMZ, Jamie Lynn revealed her parents would not allow her to tell Britney she was expecting a baby girl as they attempted to keep her teen pregnancy under wraps.

She wrote: ‘I needed her more than ever and she wasn’t able to help me in my most vulnerable time. To this day, the hurt of not being able to tell my sister myself still lingers.’

As her dad continued to push her to consider adoption or termination, Jamie Lynn remembered a heated fight that left them ‘slinging words and tossing insults’ back and forth.
