Edward Jason Lang’s on-air interview was abruptly cut off as he complained about the “psychological warfare” he has allegedly been facing during his pre-trial detention. Lang has been accused of hitting police officers with a baseball bat during the pro-Trump Washington DC insurrections on January 6, 2021. Hundreds of pro-Trump rioters stormed the US Capitol as Congress members voted to certify the election of President Joe Biden.
Newsmax host Heather Childers asked: “No doubt, you’re going to probably face some repercussions for even doing this interview with us today, are you a little worried about that?”
The alleged rioter said: “Fear does not live in the hearts of patriots.
“And, you know, it’s time for the American people to band together and to stand behind the Constitution and to really support the January sixers because we were the frontline…”
However, as Laing defended the action of the insurrectionists, an automated message cut him off, saying: “This call is being terminated by the facility.”

Following a few seconds of silence, Ms Chiders said: “Uh oh.
“Someone didn’t like that conversation.”
Lang has been facing 13 counts related to the January 6 riots and a judge denied any pre-trial release.
Since the riots, 727 people have been arrested in relation to the storming of the Capitol, with little dispute of their presence due to a large amount of videos and selfies shared online by participants themselves.

Republicans are currently favored to reclaim control of the US House of Representatives in that election, which would allow them to end the panel’s work.
The House’s January 6 Select Committee is investigating the causes of the attack, including former President Donald Trump’s actions and his efforts to change the results of the election.
President Trump told the crowd of supporters he would never concede the November 3 election and urged them to “fight like hell” before they went to the Capitol, where lawmakers were preparing to certify Democrat Joe Biden’s victory.
The committee has issued more than 50 subpoenas and heard from more than 300 witnesses in its investigation of the attack.
