‘Stunning’ winter view named the best in the UK – ‘God-like landforms’

Park Leisure asked the country to vote on their favourite winter landscapes and the results are in.

Coming top was Glen Etive in the Scottish Highlands.

The Highlands are a holiday destination all year round and Glen Etive is a very special place.

Featured in both James Bond’s Skyfall and Braveheart, Glen Etive is a popular destination.

On Tripadvisor, user Thomas said: “While in the area, and after seeing it on the TV recently, we decided to take a drive off the A82 to get a taste of the Skyfall James Bond drive.

“The views just get better and better throughout the journey. It can get busy, but there are plenty of passing places.

“If you are stopping to take photos, expect the drive to take around 45 minutes to the end of the road at Loch Etive, which itself is stunning. If you are passing by, and have the time to spare, make sure you take a look!”
