Samsung is giving away a free Galaxy Watch 4 – here's how to get yours

Samsung fans will be able to get a Galaxy Watch 4 this Christmas for free. The South Korean tech giant has announced a new promotion that gives away the recently released wearable from December 25. The entry-level Galaxy Watch 4 40mm model – which is priced at £249 – will be thrown in as an extra freebie with purchases of either the Galazy Z Flip3 (priced from £949) or the Galaxy Z Fold3 (prices begin from £1,599).

You will be able to claim your free Galaxy Watch 4 either by purchasing a Z Flip3 or Z Fold3 as a standalone new handset, or by getting the Samsung flagships when signing up to a new contract.

EE, Vodafone, Three and O2 are all offering the Galaxy Watch 4 freebie on Z Flip3 and Z Fold3 contracts. Here are some of the deals these leading mobile providers are running right now…

If you like the sound of this offer, then the good news is Samsung has given Galaxy fans a generous window of opportunity to claim this deal as it runs until February 1 2022.

Speaking about the deal James Kitto, vice president of sales UK and Ireland for Samsung Electronics, said: “Demand for innovation doesn’t stop, and this is reflected in the fantastic results we have seen across our Galaxy Z Series to date. With interest in this unique form-factor continuing to grow, we’re attracting more new customers to Samsung than ever before.

“As we approach 2022, we are committed to continuing our leadership in the foldable smartphone category, whilst also strengthening our Galaxy ecosystem with best-in-class devices. Our Galaxy Watch4 is the perfect companion for the Galaxy Z Series, providing a deeper, more holistic understanding of overall wellbeing as we continue to navigate today’s fast paced world.”

The Galaxy Watch 4 range – like the Z Flip3 and Z Fold3 – was only released towards the end of August, so it’s just been on the shelves for a few months.

And there’s plenty of reasons to want to pick up Samsung’s latest wearable, which boasts a slimmer design than before thanks to the new BioActive sensor.

This sensor bundles in plenty of health features together – such as measuring ECG, blood pressure and body composition.

With the latter feature, this is the first time a Samsung Galaxy Watch has been capable of monitoring body composition.

The Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic are also the first smartwatches to run on the new Wear OS Powered by Samsung. Built by Samsung and Google, this opens the Galaxy Watch range up to a whole host of new apps for users to play with.
