Dartmouth vs. California prediction: Over is the play

After pushing Stanford to overtime, the Dartmouth Big Green will look to finish their West Coast trip with a win against California on Sunday.

The Big Green are getting 45.2 percent of their points from made 3-point shots, which is the sixth-highest percentage in the country, while California is 317th in this category, getting 23.9 percent of its points from outside the arc.

Dartmouth has a hard time stopping long shots, though, rating 253rd in the country in opponent 3-point shooting percentage at 35.2 percent. California’s defense doesn’t generate a lot of turnovers, getting one on just 15.1 percent of possessions, which is 328th nationally.

The Big Green play significantly faster on the road, averaging 72.1 possessions per game compared to 63.6 possessions per game at home.

Dartmouth has played each of its past five games Over the total, and that stretch will continue against a California bunch that has played five of its seven home games Over the total.
