Media giant Sky is pursuing a legal claim over a leaky roof at its state-of-the-art flagship office building in West London.

Construction giant Mace and building contractor Prater are working on separate claims, with a five-week trial expected to go ahead in early 2023.

The claimants are set to argue that the insurers – including Royal & Sun Alliance, Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway International Insurance and Aspen Insurance UK – should pay the bill.

The £220million award winning building, completed in 2016, has been praised for its ‘shed-like’ design. The building is located on Sky’s media campus in Osterley and is home to 3,500 employees.

The leaks have not led to the building’s closure. Sky and Mace declined to comment.
