Emmerdale Christmas death as villain returns to the village for revenge?

Meena Jutla (played by Paige Sandhu) is one person Emmerdale viewers are desperate to get rid of as she has claimed the life of three villagers this year, including Leanna Cavanagh (Mimi Slinger), Andrea Tate (Anna Nightingale) and Ben Tucker (Simon Lennon). Although, as she’s managed to get the police off her trail, it seems it could be some time before the village serial killer is taken down. However, it could be a battle of the villains as Kim Tate (Claire King) might return to the ITV soap this Christmas to enact revenge on the murderer.

Before she made her exit from the show a few weeks ago, Kim was dealing with the aftermath of her daughter in law, Andrea, being killed.

As the pair had a dispute before Meena killed her in the maze fire, the prime suspect for murdering her was the owner of Home Farm.

Meena didn’t help matters as she knew this information and so directed the authorities in the direction of the ruthless businesswoman.

The case was eventually dropped as the police ruled the incident as an accident and this led Kim to make her departure.

However, having had some time to think about how much trouble landed at her door after Andrea’s death, it could be she will be on the hunt for blood.

Kim has never been one to let sleeping dogs lie and she will want to ensure Meena understands she will get revenge once crossed.

The ruthless businesswoman could walk back into the village and head straight over to the Bed and Breakfast to speak with her adversary.

Although she might not know why the killer set her up, she certainly would not know the lengths Meena would go to in order to get one up on her.

As the women have a heated confrontation on Christmas Day, it seems the murderer could be planning on taking a fourth life.

Things could look bad for Kim as it seems her reign as the vixen of the village could be at an end but things could take an interesting turn.

With plenty of land to do so, the ruthless businesswoman could bury the villain’s body and begin telling the villagers Meena decided to go move away after a turbulent year in the Dales.

But having ordered hits on people before but never really doing the dirty work herself, could Kim become a changed woman as she tries to settle back into the village.

There is a high chance Meena or someone else could be killed this Christmas according to statistics from Buzz Bingo.

Since the show began 49 years ago, over 43 murders taking place over four decades, making it the second deadliest soap on British television.

EastEnders is not far behind with 42 but a death in the Dales this Christmas could tip the village-based drama over the edge to give it a strong lead.

They have also indicated the most common method people are murdered in Emmerdale, with being pushed from a height at the top of the list.

Therefore, Meena and Kim could have a confrontation at the top of the majestic staircase at Home Farm, with the latter pushing the killer down the flight of stairs.

Although this might seem like a simplistic way to end Meena’s reign of terror, hitting the most sensitive position on her head could end her life.

Kim suffered almost the same fate upon her return to the village in 2018 when she was pushed from a balcony by Faith Dingle (Sally Dexter).

However, she survived, so will Kim take extra measures to ensure the villain is dead and won’t be coming back to haunt her?

The show was hit with Ofcom complaints recently following Meena claiming her third victim and showing how she chose to kill him.

Knowing Ben had evidence on her trying to drown Victoria Sugden (Isabel Hodgins), the villain played a game of cat and mouse with him at the HOP.

Coaxing him outside, she ended his life by hitting him around the head twice with an oar used for kayaks in the water.

Those watching at home were left disturbed by what they were watching and 74 complaints were issued to the broadcasting watchdog.

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7pm on ITV, with an extra episode airing on Thursdays at 8pm.
