Tom wrote on his Instagram: “Being with her during a Crohn’s flare up this weekend was a pretty scary experience to say the least! So glad @saradaviescc and I were with her to do what we could until the ambulance arrived.”
He added Amy didn’t remember Sara donating an extra pair of trousers to her or Tom carrying her to the ambulance while wearing Crocs.
“She’s home with us now and back to chatting non-stop and drinking her way through our supply of teabags, so I think she’s on the mend. Rest assured, the Fletchers are taking care of her,” he added.
Amy documented her Crohn’s disease in her award-winning documentary Strictly Amy: Crohn’s and Me, where she revealed that she was diagnosed with the condition at just 19-years-old.
