Little Mix's Jade Thirlwall 'signs to One Direction star's management' – split imminent?

Last year Nelson revealed she was leaving Little Mix after struggling to deal with her mental health and the criticism she has received over the years. Since her exit, fans have been speculating whether the girl band will be splitting for good to allow the remaining members, Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, to begin their own solo careers. Now, Thirlwall has reportedly made her first steps to begin this move.

A source reportedly told The Sun that Thirlwall has now signed to a new management company.

This is the same company that One Direction star Harry Styles is a part of, as well as other music artists including Lizzo and Mark Ronson.

The insider claimed: “Jade had a series of meetings with Full Stop Management earlier this year and she’s now signed on the dotted line.

“They think she is going to be a huge star, just like Harry has become after One Direction went on hiatus.”

The insider added: “Jade has bags of ideas for her solo music and she’s already recorded some amazing songs that have impressed industry bosses. “As well as music she is putting plans into motion for more TV appearances and there is no doubt she can become a mega-star in her own right.” Of course, all of this information should be taken with a pinch of salt, but if true it would be interesting to see Thirlwall thrive just as Styles and Lizzo have. But if Thirlwall is splitting off to make her own music, will Little Mix bring their journey to an end?

Pinnock is also hosting the upcoming Mobo Awards alongside comedian Munya Chawawa.

Despite all signs pointing to the band eventually splitting out and producing their own music like Nelson, Edwards recently shut down thoughts of the band breaking up.

The trio appeared on Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp where they were grilled about their status.

Edwards cut in to say: “Oh you had to ask! … Look, listen, Little Mix is forever isn’t it. I think no matter what Little Mix do, whether we venture out individually, whatever we do, Little Mix is forever, like Jade said.”

Edwards went on: “We’ll always stick together, we’ll always tour, we’ll always do things together as a group, because, Little Mix is just, it’s fire.”

She then referenced the absence of Nelson, adding: “And, I hate to say it, what we have is something special – and we know that – and we know that Little Mix as the three of us is so so strong.

“So, we never want that to be over, never ever ever.”
