Marie Kondo has been a tidying consultant since she was just 19-years-old.

She recently discussed how to store and fold summer clothes ahead of the winter. 

The Japanese expert, born in Tokyo, said: “If you are storing clothes in bins during the off-season, the same rules of tidying that you do for preserving drawer space or packing a suitcase apply – folding using the KonMari Method will save you a lot of space and keep things tidy.”

She said: “For tops, lay them flat and first fold both edges of the body of the garment towards the center, to form a rectangle.
