'She said she was sacking them!' Sheridan Smith fumes at team backstage at Jonathan Ross

Cilla actress Sheridan Smith reportedly threatened to sack her backstage team on The Jonathan Ross Show last night, following a furious row over “misogyny”. According to inside sources, the Gavin and Stacey star, 40, reportedly claimed that she “had not been treated with kindness” following her appearance on the ITV chat show.

Friday evening saw the West End star make an appearance on the show, alongside singer Gary Barlow, Grand Tour star Jeremy Clarkson, actors Riz Ahmed and Stephen Merchant as well as music icon Sting.

But an insider has now claimed that the actress was left “furious” after the show had wrapped.

They said: “She claimed the atmosphere was chauvinistic and there was an air of misogyny.

“She also claimed that she felt she had not been treated with kindness.”

Grinning, Gary playfully hands Sheridan a snowball as they tease their festive song.

In another clip, the former is seen playing the piano in a glitzy green tuxedo, while Sheridan stands next to him, belting out the tune in a stunning white number.

Last month, the star sparked a frenzy on social media after she shared a loved-up snap with her ex-boyfriend, featuring a sparkly ring on her wedding finger.

Posing with Alex Lawler, the star’s Instagram followers were left guessing at the state of their relationship.
