Food recalls are issued when a product is unsafe for customers to use. For example, if an item contains an ingredient not mentioned on the label, it could cause harm to someone with allergies. Here is the full list of current active food recalls in major British supermarkets.
The supermarket giant went on to explain what customers should do if they have already bought the product.
It said: “Please do not consume this product if you have an allergy to milk, return the affected product to store where a full refund will be given.
“No receipt is required.”
Tesco is also recalling two types of stuffed mushrooms because they contain gluten which is not mentioned on their labels.
The affected products are on sale in Northern Irish Tesco branches only.

One mushroom product is ‘The Kitchen’ Chorizo & Oak Smoked Cheddar Stuffed Portobello Mushrooms, from U.M.I Foods.
The other, from the same brand, is ‘Harvest & Made’ Mini Stuffed Mushrooms with Oak smoked cheddar and sundried tomato.
These products come in packs 200g in size and are also being withdrawn from Sainsbury’s stores in Northern Ireland.
If customers have already bought the products, they should return them to their nearest Tesco or Sainsbury’s store for a full refund.
Waitrose
The food retailer is recalling its Thrive Fish Pie because of an undeclared egg.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) said: “Waitrose is recalling Waitrose Thrive Fish Pie because it contains egg which is not mentioned on the label.
“As a result of a packaging error some packs contain a beef lasagne with egg as an ingredient but which is not declared on the label.
“This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to egg.”
The fish pie comes in a pack 250g in size and has a best before date of March 2023.
Customers who have already bought the product should return it to “your local Waitrose & Partners branch for a refund”.
Morrisons
Morrisons is currently recalling its own brand Milk Chocolate Amour Ice Creams because there is a risk that some packs may contain pieces of plastic.
The ice creams come in packs of three and are 120ml in size.
Morrisons stated on its website: “Please do not eat this product and return it to your nearest store for a full refund.
“We don’t need a receipt.”
