'Whingey' Arlene Phillips could leave I'm A Celeb castle next as she 'winds people up'

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! is back on ITV and the series has returned to Gwrych Castle in Wales. A new batch of famous faces have given up their plush homes and luxuries for the opportunity to win the King or Queen of the Castle title. Choreographer and Strictly Come Dancing star Arlene Phillips could rub people up the wrong way according to a psychotherapist.

I’m A Celebrity returns tonight and hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly will be checking in with the campmates.

Emmerdale star Danny Miller takes on the Dreaded Diner challenge after receiving the most public votes.

After finding out he would be taking part, he was given a few words of advice from Arlene Phillips and David Ginola.

Tough-talker Arlene encouraged Danny to focus and forget about his fear of being sick in the trials.

Psychotherapist Lucy Beresford told Express.co.uk her relationships with campmates could go one of two ways.

She said: “I’m intrigued about Arlene, she’s much older so she’s either going to be mothering to people like Snoochie and Naughty Boy.

“It’s that or she’s going to start to wind people up as she can be a bit whingey. We have seen a bit of that.

“It will be quite interesting to see any personality clashes.”

Lucy also raised how celebs such as Snoochie have shown more positivity during challenges than Arlene.

She said: “The way she bonded quite quickly with Louise Minchin, they both reassured other people and were positive.

The star added: “I think people don’t see the motherly side of me.

“I don’t think people know me and the real me is very different – I am very caring and I love that caring side of my life. I give myself so completely.

“I would like to take on the mum role in the Castle. Everyone is going to be younger and if anyone wants to talk to someone or share things with them, then they can with me.”

The choreographer and theatre director has two children, Alana and Abi.

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! airs at 9.15pm on ITV.
