Kim Kardashian announces the launch of SKIMS in China…as she continues to take her billion dollar brand global: ‘I’m so excited!’

Kim Kardashian announced that her billion dollar brand SKIMS has officially launched in China.

The 41-year-old mogul took to Instagram to share the news of her brand’s increasingly global takeover on Tuesday, while showing her curves off in a skintight black dress.

In her announcement she revealed that the shapewear line is available for purchase in two major cities: Shanghai and Hong Kong, through department store Lane Crawford.

Kim modeled one of her many shapewear dresses that was black with a high neck and showed off her impossible proportions.

Recording herself from her stylistically sparse SKIMS headquarters she revealed the Asian expansion.

‘Hey guys, I am so excited to announce that SKIMS is officially launching in China. ‘We’re gonna be in Shanghai and in Hong Kong at Lane Crawford.

‘And I personally hand picked so many of the pieces for you guys so I can’t wait for you to feel the fabrics, the styles, see what you guys like…and just check out SKIMS in China finally.’

According to Lane Crawford’s website over 100 styles including the range of ‘bras and knickers’ will be available in sizes US 0 – to US 24.

The edit includes a range of 12 skin-inspired hues and 12 fashion-inspired colours additionally.

Though the announcement came just days before Black Friday in the United States — prompting many to consider this was aptly timed on a global scale— the Chinese equivalent of the holiday is actually called ‘Singles Day’ and is celebrated on November 11.

There has been some dispute as to where SKIMS is actually manufactured as many items say ‘Made in China’ while others say ‘Made in Turkey.’

The brand has declined to specify the exact location of manufacturing.

Though her expansive line is available for international purchase and shipping on the website, China and Lane Crawford marks the second international stockist behind the UK and Selfridges last year.

As of 2021 SKIMS has been evaluated at $1.6B and the brand’s success helped launch her into the billionaire’s club herself.
