Call of Duty Warzone’s new season may have been delayed, but there’s still plenty to do as the countdown continues.
The new Call of Duty Warzone map will be available from December 8, or December 9 if you don’t own a copy of Vanguard.
Before the new season begins, Call of Duty Warzone players can enjoy the Secrets of the Pacific event.
The Call of Duty Secrets of the Pacific event has a November 24 release date, and a 6pm GMT launch time.
As part of the Warzone event, players can uncover new intel on the upcoming Caldera map.
“As we prepare for the end of Verdansk, prepare to uncover more about the mysterious Caldera map by digging up Secrets of the Pacific,” reads an Activision post.
“This limited-time event developed by Beenox will grant you vital information on Caldera and its various points of interest prior to its launch in December, but only if you complete challenges across Vanguard and Warzone.
“Each game will have its own set of tasks and rewards for completing them, such as acquiring and protecting Pacific artifacts while fighting to survive in Verdansk.”
The event is likely to launch alongside an update, which means a new set of patch notes to be revealed later today.
Speaking of new Call of Duty maps, Vanguard players should check out the revised Shipment map.
According to Activision, the new and improved Shipment map features destructible elements.
“The destructible containers offer great cover and obscurity from enemies at first, but soon become hollow husks as a match on Shipment progresses,” Activision explains.
“Take matters into your own hands by running through, exploding, or shooting the wooden containers before the enemy has a chance to hide in them.”
Speaking of cover, Activision recommends shooting through cover or aiming for the explosive barrel if a sniper heads up to the raised platform.
The small size of the map also makes it ideal for levelling up characters and weapons, especially via challenges.
“The Perk 1 slot contains three options that all have use on Shipment: Survival Training for reducing explosives damage, Fortified for gaining immunity to tactical equipment pieces, and Dauntless to counter suppression,” Activision continues.
“Consider which X-factor to gunfights most affects your ability to come out on top and plan those Loadouts around that Perk.
“Shipment 24/7 includes Domination, where one flag is at the centre and the other two are placed at the corners.
“With quick respawns and plenty of action throughout, your best bet is to grit your teeth, fire away, and attempt to coordinate captures with multiple teammates.”
