Air fryers use a circulation of hot air to cook the food in the appliance. However food particles can get stuck, causing the air fryer to be very hard to clean. Posting on the Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips Facebook group, one woman asked for some advice.
Scrub Daddy, which has been used by Mrs Hinch herself for several years, is a cleaning sponge in the shape of a smiley face.
It changes texture when hit with different water temperatures and is scratch-free, meaning it won’t damage the surface.
Anne Hambet said: “I also use these oven bags, they’re genius. You can clean your oven racks while you’re at it.”
Other group members also recommended using washing up liquid with a sponge as well as trying dishwasher tablets.
Mellisa Sheil commented: “I use Elbow Grease on my air dryer, although the tray comes out of mine and I just wash it in hot water with washing up liquid.”
Katy Alley added: “I use Elbow Grease on mine.”
