Joe Exotic moved to new federal medical center amid cancer battle

As “Tiger King” star Joe Exotic’s prostate cancer becomes more aggressive, he was moved from a federal medical center in Texas to one in North Carolina on Tuesday.

Formerly in FMC Fort Worth, Texas, he was moved to FMC Butner in North Carolina while in federal custody, TMZ reported, noting it has “extensive medical services” for cancer treatment.

The 58-year-old’s location transfer comes after he revealed in an early November tweet that he was suffering from a more aggressive form of cancer than he thought.

“Carole will have her own party over this!” he also tweeted, referring to documentary co-star Carole Baskin. “Say a prayer everyone & be my voice.”

The former zookeeper, whose legal name is Joseph Maldonado-Passage, is currently serving a 22-year sentence for planning a botched murder-for-hire plot to kill Baskin.

While in prison, serving a 22-year sentence, the former zookeeper pleaded for release because of his ill health.

In his trial, prosecutors said Maldonado-Passage paid $3,000 to kill Baskin in Florida back in 2017. He was also convicted of falsifying records of wildlife violations, including killing five tigers and selling cubs.

Earlier this year, Baskin sold the Tiger King’s playground, Maldonado-Passage’s big cat zoo in Oklahoma, but on the terms that no animals can be kept on the land for 100 years.

Maldonado-Passage has repeatedly accused his supposed enemy, Baskin, of murdering her first husband, Don Lewis, in 1997, but she has continuously denied those claims.

In an open letter dated Oct. 27, the infamous Tiger King claimed he wasn’t looking for pity for his case, only to be released because of his health condition.

“What I need is the world to be my voice to be released,” he wrote. “They have the proof I did not do this and there is no reason for the US Attorney to drag this out so I can go home and get treatment on my own and enjoy what life I have left with my loved ones.”

The plea came after failing to be pardoned by former President Trump in January and even turning to Baskin, his archenemy, for help.

The second season of “Tiger King” is already here, though, in which Netflix’s audience will see Maldonado-Passage’s cry of innocence while being locked up.

Baskin said she never wanted to be part of the second season of “Tiger King.”

It debuted on the streaming service on Wednesday, Nov. 17, despite a lawsuit from Baskin that requests footage of herself be deleted.

In May, Baskin told Page Six that she never agreed to be a part of the season, and in the suit asks for any footage of her and her Big Cat Rescue organization to be removed.

“I told [producers] to lose my number,” she said. “Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.”
