Cynthia is set to star as Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West, in the upcoming film rendition of the musical Wicked, with Ariana Grande starring as the witch Galinda.
She previously portrayed iconic songstress Aretha Franklin in the TV series Genius: Aretha, and has starred in films including Harriet and Widows.
