'It's tough' Janette Manrara opens up on ‘sadness’ of new Strictly role

Earlier this year, the BBC announced Janette Manrara would be taking over from Zoe Ball on Strictly Come Dancing spin-off It Takes Two. The Ballroom and Latin dancer presents the show alongside Rylan Clark-Neal but Janette admitted there was one aspect of her new role which wasn’t enjoyable.

The former Strictly pro was asked if it’s harder to say goodbye to couple’s each week.

Each week, Janette interviews the contestants and their Strictly partners on It Takes Two.

She spoke to Express.co.uk at the Together For Short Lives’ Ball

Janette said: “It’s tough every year to say goodbye to somebody.

She continued: “I feel like it’s one of those series this year when you just genuinely don’t know what’s gonna happen.

“It’s everybody’s aim to get to that point, the final and because there are only three people in the final since we lost Rob [Webb].

“It’s a tough competition, I would not want to be competing this year.”

Meanwhile, bookmakers Ladbrokes have tipped Rose Ayling-Ellis at 1/4 to lift the Glitterball Trophy with Giovanni Pernice.
