'I hope you're okay' Lorraine Kelly shares support over friend's cancer diagnosis

Lorraine Kelly, 61, shared her sympathies to comedian Janey Godley, 60, on Twitter after she announced she had cancer on Twitter today. Janey is known for her Nicola Sturgeon impersonations as well as a long career in comedy.

Along with a picture lying in a hospital bed, Janey posted a message to her 234,000 followers earlier today.

She penned: “Sorry but my last weekend of the tour can’t go ahead in Edinburgh and Musselburgh as I am in hospital with ovarian cancer – look after eachother #MentalHealthMatters.”

Lorraine hastily replied: “Oh Janey. I hope you are OK.

“Please take care of yourself xxx.”

She said: “Unfortunately, I was doing the tour when I unbeknownst to me had ovarian cancer.

“I just got checked out yesterday and that’s what I’m now in this very beautiful but very stormy corner room hospital in Glasgow.

“But I want to thank everybody for their support and their help in coming out and sharing so much love with me.”

Janey also shared her symptoms of the cancer, such as feeling full before eating and having little energy.
