'I'm ashamed' Paddy McGuinness’ wife details shock ‘wake up call’ in battle with anorexia

“The real wake-up call was when I collapsed when I was alone with the twins. It’s something I’ll never forgive myself for,” she admitted in her new autobiography, published by Mirror Books

Christine, 33, continued to explain how she felt “ashamed” at the incident because she felt it was her responsibility to stay well for the sake of her children.

“I knew what had happened, as it wasn’t uncommon to pass out, but this time was worse because it was the first time it happened while I was on my own with the children.

“It solidified in my mind that I just couldn’t ever let that happen again. It upsets me just thinking about it, and I’m ashamed of it. I’ve got to make sure I stay healthy for the kids.”
