Having been in New York previously, the royal couple travelled to Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in New Jersey.
Together they met with service members from all six branches of the military and hosted a luncheon for service members and their spouses.
For the occasion, Meghan had chosen a black Giorgio Armani faux-wrap dress, which is priced at $1,695, equivalent to £1,264.
The dress, which is made from a stretch jersey features a “flattering draping and surplice neckline”.
