Josh Kroenke's latest admission gives Arsenal green light to make January signing

The 21-year-old has already scored 10 goals in 13 games for Fiorentina this season, but Arsenal may face a battle to sign the promising striker, as although there is a reported agreement between both clubs, the player and his agent may wait for bigger and better offers from elsewhere next summer.

Arsenal were the Premier Leagues biggest spenders over the summer, as £150m was splashed out on six new signings, but although they stabilised their defence and made additions in midfield, the attacking role is still an area of concern moving forward.

Kroenke appeared positive however, and in a rare interview with Sky Sports, he commented on their mistakes during the European Super League saga that emerged in April, and made assurances that he wants the club to be great.

The American shareholder said: “I said this to our fan advisory board who we met with last night, I don’t want a 48-hour period to define us.
