Dad edits out ‘gender stereotypes’ in daughter’s Disney Princess books

Some are hailing him a progressive “Fairy Godfather” of sorts — but others think he’s just plain desecrating Disney classics.

A concerned dad is stirring the pot online after releasing a series of TikTok clips that show him editing out “gender stereotypes” in his daughter’s Disney Princess books. The father — who goes by @dcaspers on the platform — uploaded the “woke” makeovers last year, but they’ve recently gone viral, racking up millions of views.

“Changing tomorrow starts today,” reads the caption to one of the director’s cuts, which currently boasts nearly 3 million views.

The inflammatory clip, entitled “Dad Hack,” shows @dcaspers altering a scene from a picture book version of 2009’s “Princess and the Frog,” which shows Princess Tiana baking cookies for Prince Naveen.

Using some digital wizardry, he superimposes a pic of nachos over the sweets, and replaces the preexisting text with dialogue that indicates that the princess is actually making the Tex-Mex treats for herself.

“Excuse me Prince Naveen, these nachos are just for me,” the new version reads. The father then cuts out the original page from the book and glues his role reversing reimagining in its place. He gives similar feminist facelifts to the novelized version of “Beauty and the Beast,” “Snow White” and other timeless Disney classics like a progressive Fairy Godmother.

In his “Little Mermaid” makeover, @dcaspers digitally switches the script so Ariel baking a cake for Prince Eric becomes Ariel eating delivery pizza and scrolling through TikTok — where she finds a “new love.”

And by fan request, the freelance editor revamps the ending of “Cinderella” so that she marries Belle from “Beauty and the Beast” instead of Prince Charming.

Suffice it to say, his progressive reboots sparked mixed reactions on TikTok with one admirer writing “best dad ever” in the comment section under his pilot “Dad Hack” video.

“Why can’t all men see how problematic those books can be,” fumed one TikTok fan. Another supporter wondered, “can you u sell these stories? I have two daughters I’m super interested!!! Great job!!!”

However, others viewed his equity-promoting edits as a symptom of woke “cancel culture” run amok.

“This generation literally cancels people for the most minuscule things,” shot one critic, while another wrote, “so instead of learning from history, we should just erase it and change it to fit our own likings?”

Another found the father’s “Princess and the Frog” remake a bit overzealous as Tiana is a baking enthusiast in the story.

“This is extra, I tell my daughters they can do anything they set their mind to…no need to teach them misandry,” said another.

“Bruh, just don’t buy the book if it offends you,” one viewer suggested.
