‘We are never moving again’: Rake star Richard Roxburgh reveals he loves a quiet life of pizza and tranquillity on the Northern Beaches with TV chef wife Silvia Colloca
He plays a rough and tumble lawyer roaming Sydney’s concrete jungle on the new season of his hit ABC show Rake.
But off-camera, Richard Roxburgh loves his simple life on the peaceful Northern Beaches with his TV chef wife Silvia Colloca and their kids Raffi, nine, and Miro, five.
‘We are never moving again. I said to Sylvia: this is it now,’ he told the Manly Daily. ‘Everything’s walkable and it’s great for the boys.’

Their tastes are also not what you may expect from a glamorous showbiz family, opting for pizzas from their local bistro The Newport when Colloca isn’t cooking up a storm at home.
The power couple moved from one side of the peninsula to the other when they sold their Bilgola Plateau pad for $1.9 million over Christmas.
They then moved into a $3 million ‘1970’s-style’ Newport house, perched on the headland and overlooking the ocean.

On-set romance: The 54-year-old met Italian-born Colloca, 38, on the set of Hollywood film Van Helsing, him playing villain Dracula and her one of his three wives, and they married for real a year later in 2004
Despite the significant upgrade, Roxburgh admited the new kitchen paled in comparison to the ‘magical’ one their old place had, and it would need some renovation to meet his wife’s high standards.
‘It’s going to be a work in progress,’ he said with a laugh.

It will be the first time an all-Australian cast has appeared on Broadway.
The second episode of his acclaimed legal drama Rake screens on ABC at 8.30pm Thursday.
