EE customers can enjoy the latest version of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook for FREE

EE customers can now enjoy the latest version of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, OneNote and more without spending an extra penny. That’s because the BT-owned brand has added the Microsoft 365 subscription service to its list of Smart Benefits.

It joins the long list of perks already available, including a free Netflix, Apple Music or BT Sports Ultimate subscription. Customers can also choose to have any video streaming applications not count towards your monthly data allowance, or take their minutes, text messages and data abroad without paying any extra.

Smart Benefits can be changed each month, so you can switch to the Roam Abroad ahead of a two-week holiday and then switch back to a complimentary BT Sports Ultimate subscription when you’re back at home. Smart Benefits can be configured within the EE mobile app, which is available on Android and iPhone.

Microsoft 365 Personal includes access to constantly-updated versions of the most popular Microsoft Office apps, like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Outlook. Not only that, but you’ll also get access to Skype and 1TB of storage courtesy of Microsoft OneDrive. Your complimentary subscription can be used on up to five devices at the same time, including Windows, macOS, iOS and Android.

So, you can sign in with the free account granted by your EE Smart Plan on a MacBook, Windows 11 desktop PC, and a tablet to keep working wherever you are. Unlike buying Microsoft Office as a single purchase, the subscription versions of the apps are always updated with new designs, fresh features, and more.

If you want to get your hands on the free Microsoft 365 subscription, you’ll need to make sure you’re paying for a Connected Device Plan from EE. This is a different scheme to the Smart Plans, which are available with SIM-only plans (if you already have a smartphone that you’re happy with, this cuts out the cost of paying for a new handset as part of your monthly bills) and pay monthly deals.

Smart Benefits are also available when signing up to a new contract for a connected device, including a laptop or tablet.

Sharon Meadows, Director of Propositions, EE said: “We continue to look for ways to provide our customers the best experience on our award-winning 4G and 5G network. Microsoft 365 Personal joins a suite of great Smart benefits we offer, and will help boost a customer’s productivity – whether they’re using a tablet, laptop or other connected device on the move.”
