‘Best thing I’ve done!’ Mrs Hinch fans share 5p hack for cleaning grime from oven doors

Dedicated fans of hers have now created their own social media groups based on sharing cleaning and tidying tips.

On one of the groups, a Facebook user shared her “absolutely brilliant trick” for cleaning her oven glass.

Social media user Jade Kantorowicz wrote: “Absolutely brilliant, thank you to the person who shared the dishwasher tablet trick, it has been my dreaded job for so long.

“Using this, it literally took me half an hour instead of hours. Thank you.

“I got a water spray bottle, sprayed onto the door and just rubbed the dishwasher tablet over and tadah!

Jade also explained in the comments which dishwasher tablets to use and what technique she used to clean the glass.

She said: “I would use the solid ones, I’ve not tried the liquid before but don’t think it would work with them personally.”

She added: “Basically, I sprayed water on and rubbed the tablet straight after so it has a water base.

“Don’t need to press hard either. Circular motions and it comes off amazingly.”

Kelly Murphy said: “I did mine at the weekend too, it worked a treat.”

ASDA Smart Price Dishwasher Tablets cost just £1.50 for a pack of 30 which works out at 5p per tablet.

Other suggestions from Mrs Hinch fans included using Cif cream and tinfoil.

Facebook user Chelsea Lyndsay said: “Cif cream and tinfoil also does the trick.”

Sarah Roberts said: “Another good one for oven doors is cream cleaner and scrunched up tin foil.

“Took me about five minutes on my client’s a few months ago.”
