‘Money Heist’ Teases the End in Part 5 Volume 2’s First Teaser

We’re finally going to see how The Professor’s heist of the Bank of Spain will end. Today, Netflix dropped the first teaser trailer for Money Heist Part 5, Volume 2, the final five episodes in the streamer’s international hit. And if you’ve been keeping up with the series, you know exactly where this teaser is going. Make sure you have some Kleenex nearby because you’re going to need them.

Are you ready for some spoilers? Because we can’t talk about this new teaser without them. The first half of Money Heist Part 5 ended with the unthinkable: Tokyo’s (Úrsula Corberó) death. As the Special Forces charged the bank, things were looking bleak for our favorite team of criminals. Helsinki (Darko Perić) was down. The Professor (Álvaro Morte) wasn’t around. Tokyo was injured. That’s when Tokyo made the ultimate sacrifice, urging Denver (Jaime Lorente) and Manila (Belén Cuesta) to escape through the dumb waiter while she bought them time. She accomplished her goal in the most explosive way possible, setting off a grenade while the head of the Special Forces was closest to her.

It was a heartbreaking sacrifice. Knowing the familial bonds of this team, this loss isn’t one that will be taken lightly. “In the last few hours, I’ve lost people very dear to me,” The Professor says in this first teaser. “And I won’t let anyone else fall because of this heist.”

That ominous promise is the only clue was have about these final five episodes. The rest of the teaser shows brief clips of random intense moments, from The Professor cocking a gun to Lisbon (Itziar Ituño) being led out by the Special Forces. Check it out above.

Money Heist has been one of Netflix’s biggest success stories. The heist drama from Álex Pina originally premiered on Antena 3 Television and was one the verge of cancelation when Netflix swooped in. Since then, it’s become one of the most popular international hits on all of streaming. No matter what the finale has in store for us, you can bet we’ll be watching and pulling for The Professor and his team’s escape. Let’s just hope that escape doesn’t come with any more casualties.
