Ronnie O'Sullivan tears into Northern Ireland Open atmosphere after Andy Hicks win

He commented: “Hopefully the atmosphere is a little bit better than it was tonight. Yeah, listen, it is what it is, you know… it’s paid practice for me. I come here and hit a few balls… it’s all a bit of a bonus, you know, so I’m not really too bothered either way really, just, yeah.”

Former Scottish snooker star Alan McManus also had his say on the ambience around the table, revealing the atmosphere throughout a tournament can often change.

McManus said: “It does as Ronnie says, one night you can go in there and it feels good, warm or cold or whatever. Whatever your mood is, all things can change and day-on-day you can get a different vibe.”
