Golden retriever Mango has captured hearts online after this clip of her adorable reaction to being put on a diet went viral.
Mango’s puppy dog eyes melted the hearts of viewers, with her puppy dog eyes garnering a vast outpouring of sympathy in the comments.
The video, which was originally posted by TikTok user @itsmissmango, was a huge hit on the platform, with over 459,000 views and almost 35,000 likes.
The video begins with Mango’s owner pouring her just one cup worth of dog food, before stopping and refusing to give the golden retriever any more.
It may take just a second for her to realise what is happening, but Mango quickly catches on and starts to turn on the charm with a desperate look in her owner’s direction.

However, as the video’s caption explains, the diet was not the decision of her owner, but rather a recommendation from her vet, meaning that the poor pup is appealing to the wrong person.
