Tyson Fury’s promoter Frank Warren has aimed a dig at Anthony Joshua by insisting he would have been ‘frightened’ by the Gypsy King’s brutal knockout of Deontay Wilder. Fury finished his heavyweight rivalry with Wilder once and for all with an emphatic victory on Saturday night.
The Manchester giant produced a devastating right hand in the eleventh round to send Wilder crashing to the canvas, prompting the referee to immdiatedly wave off the fight.
Fury, who has since insisted he’s cemented his spot as the best heavyweight of his era, dominated much of the fight but had to climb off the canvas twice in the fourth round after Wilder landed a thunderous right hand.
The Bronze Bomber had been floored himself the round before and was badly hurt in the middle rounds as Fury took complete control of the contest before delivering a conclusive finish to the fight.
Warren, who watched from ringside in Las Vegas, believes Saturday night’s performance proved there is a gulf in class between Fury and his British rival Joshua.
He said: “Look at the comparison between Tyson’s and AJ performances. If Joshua has just watched that it will have frightened the life out of him.”

Joshua had been due to face Fury earlier this year in an undisputed title fight before a US judge ruled that Wilder had a contractual right to a third fight with the Brit.
Fury insisted he has settled the debate over who is the best heavyweight in the world after his stunning win over Wilder.
The WBC world champion said: “We will see, I have just earned a well-earned break, I have been home two weeks in six months so before I start thinking about fighting other men then I’m going to bask in this victory.
“This was one of my greatest wins, I got off the floor to do it and I am the big dog in this division.”
“But this one, this was just unbelievable. I know to win this fight Wilder would have to come and fight him, throw bombs at him, and that’s what he did. It became almost a shoot-out between them.
“He’s unbelievable, he’s probably got the best chin in the heavyweight division in the last 40 odd years.
“Other guys getting hit by the statistically hardest puncher in the heavyweight division, in Deontay Wilder, and that’s a fact, they would not have got up from that.
“Only if you’ve got a big chin can you get up, and that’s what Tyson has got. A big heart and a marvellous chin.Each fight has got better and better as far as Tyson is concerned. For me it was heart in mouth at times, but for fans it doesn’t get any better.
“When I think back to the Ali vs Frazier trilogy, this tonight was something extra special. the whole place were on the edge of the seats.”
