‘Return it’: Lidl urgently recalls toys over potential choking hazard for children

A recall is issued when there is a discovery made about a certain item which is deemed unsafe for the consumer. The latest recall comes from supermarket Lidl who is recalling the Playtive Safari Toy as a precaution.

Lidl also apologised to customers for any inconvenience caused by the toy recall.

The retailer added: “Any customers with queries or concerns can contact Customer Service on 0370 444 1234.”

Last week, Morrisons issued an urgent recall on some of its ice creams after concerns they could contain pieces of plastic.

The supermarket issued the recall via its own website as well as the Food Standards Agency (FSA).

“No other products are affected by this issue. We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause and assure customers of our continuing commitment to the highest standard of product quality and safety.”

Waitrose is also recalling its Plantlife Pulled Oyster Mushroom Burgers over fears they could also contain pieces of plastic.

The supermarket said: “Do not consume, package up the item, return the product to your local Waitrose & Partners branch for a full refund.

“Contact Waitrose Customer Care on 0800 188 881, Option Four. We apologise that it has been necessary to recall this product and for the inconvenience caused.”

All batch codes and all use by dates are affected in this recall.”
