A baby boy was discovered sitting in his parents’ blood after the teenage couple were shot dead in front of him on a street in Brazil.
In harrowing scenes, the ten-month-old was found wearing just a nappy and sobbing on the side of a road next to his murdered mother and father after they were gunned down in Alto Garcas, Brazil.
Nicolas Elias Albuquerque do Prado, 18, and Cleidiana Pereira Alixandre, 19, had travelled with their baby son from the town of Alto Araguaia to Ato Garcas by taxi on October 8, according to military police.
When they reached a house, believed to have been operating as a crack den, they got out of the taxi and were instantly shot by two men on a motorbike.

The woman was shot after her 10-month-old son, who was not hit, had been sitting in her lap, according to local media reports. The suspects fled the scene after the crime.
The owner of the house where the couple had got out of the taxi told the police she did not recognise the suspects. She is understood to have witnessed the crime.
Harrowing photographs taken at the scene showed the baby boy crying while covered in his parents’ blood as he sat beside the couple’s bodies.
A team from the Guardianship Council collected the baby boy from the scene.
According to the police, the victims had previous involvement with drug trafficking and gangs.

Do Prado had a criminal record for drug trafficking and was being investigated for two counts of robbery and Alixandre had previously been arrested for receiving stolen goods, according to news outlet Olhar Direto.
Child Protective Services reportedly took the baby boy to hospital in the city of Rondonopolis to receive treatment for an injury he sustained when he was placed on the ground.
The bodies will reportedly be sent to the Forensic Medicine Institute for identification and post-mortem examinations.
The suspects have not yet been found, according to local media reports. A motivation for the crime has not yet been identified.
Official Expertise and Technical Identification were on the scene and Civil Police are investigating the case.
