‘It’s a game changer!’ Mrs Hinch fans share hack for cleaning oven racks

Cleaning influencer Mrs Hinch, whose real name is Sophie Hinchliffe, has become known for her cleaning and tidying tips. She often shares her cleaning tips on Instagram where she has over 4.1 million followers. Mrs Hinch has also shared her tips in several books she has authored and on TV.

Fans of hers have been so enamoured by her tips, they have created their own social media groups dedicated to cleaning and tidying.

On one of the groups, a Facebook user shared her “game-changing” oven rack cleaning tip.

Social media user Kay Andrew said: “Sharing because it’s a game changer!

“I was fed up of oven cleaning products that either don’t work, burn my skin, damage work tops or choke me with the fumes.

Kay’s post was inundated with over 600 comments from fellow Mrs Hinch fans who applauded the method and suggested their own tips.

Facebook user Julie Biggs said: “I’ve used this method for a few years.

“Got the tip from a professional oven cleaner.”

Ann Rushforth said: “Been doing this for years, always put a towel in the bath first – stops any marks on bath.”

Facebook user Jean Brook said: “Put through a dishwasher programme with other items and the grease whizzes off.”

Glenys Pye wrote: “Soda crystals are also brilliant.

“I’ve got a soaking tray from Lakeland Plastics…perfect size for fitting all the oven and grill trays in.”

Christina Smith suggested: “I put mine in the dishwasher then wipe with a scourer. So easy.”

Gwyn Jane Mitchell said: “I just put mine in dishwasher on longest setting comes up clean no rubbing or drying needed.”
