Morrisons, Asda & Waitrose recall ice cream, ready meals and burgers – full list

A food recall is issued when there is a discovery made about a certain product or food item that is deemed unsafe for the consumer. The latest recalls come from supermarkets including Morrisons and Asda.

The retailer is recalling its Extra Special Lamb Moussaka due to there being undeclared egg in the product.

Date Code: Use by October 14, 2021, October 15, 2021, October 16, 2021 and October 17, 2021

Barcode: 5057172007066

The supermarket said: “Asda is recalling the above Use By Date Codes of Asda Extra Special Lamb Moussaka (400g) because packs contain egg which is not mentioned on the label.

“This means that the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to egg.

Waitrose is also currently recalling one of its food items, the Waitrose Plantlife Pulled Oyster Mushroom Burgers.

This is due to some packs containing small pieces of blue plastic, making it unsafe for customers to eat.

The supermarket said: “Do not consume, package up the item, return the product to your local Waitrose & Partners branch for a refund.

“Contact: Waitrose Customer Care on 0800 188 881, Option Four. We apologise that it has been necessary to recall this product and for the inconvenience caused.”

All batch codes and all use by dates are affected in this recall.
