Kim Kardashian calls comedy icons for help ahead of ‘SNL’ gig

Kim Kardashian’s “Saturday Night Live” preparations are no laughing matter.

The reality-TV superstar, 40, is set to make her hosting debut on the live sketch show this weekend, and she’s reportedly called in a crew of comedy legends to ensure she’s a success.

Kardashian has asked Dave Chappelle, 48, Ellen DeGeneres, 63, Amy Schumer, 40, and James Corden, 43, to help her prepare for the gig, according to TMZ, and the stars have all been eager to assist.

Production sources at the NBC program say the famous funnymen and women have been giving Kardashian “tips on what to include in her monologue, how to perform certain skits and nail comedic delivery.”

The sources further told TMZ that Kardashian has “been exceeding expectations” given that she has not had “any experience in the comedy world.”

The “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star will reportedly poke fun at herself during her hosting duties, with some of her jokes said to be “self-deprecating.”

And while Kardashian may have called in the heavy hitters to help get her ready, publicly, she isn’t showing any sign of nerves.

In a promo for her “SNL” gig, released on Friday, Kardashian joked that hosting the iconic program would be “so easy.”

Appearing alongside cast member Cecily Strong, 37, and musical guest Halsey, 27, Kardashian quips that she’s unbothered by the big gig as long as she’s the best-looking person on set.

Meanwhile, the bombshell is said to have another very famous name helping her prepare for “SNL” — her estranged husband, Kanye West.

West has appeared on “SNL” as a musical guest on a number of occasions and is said to be “bouncing ideas” around with his ex.

“Kim and Kanye are in a great place, and they always bounce ideas off of each other and look to each other for advice and guidance, and this gig is no exception,” a source told ET.

And the pressure is on for Kardashian to help boost the sagging ratings of “SNL.”

Last week’s premiere episode of Season 47 only brought in 3.5 million viewers, according to ratings agency Nielsen.
