Kim Kardashian questions whether she will 'look the best' in FIRST LOOK at SNL hosting stint

Kim Kardashian showcased her acting chops as she questioned whether she will ‘look the best’ in a hilarious promo for her hosting debut on Saturday Night Live this weekend.

The reality star, 40, could be seen brutally shutting down suggestions from Cecily Strong and Halsey that they could form a girl group, before sharing her bewilderment about whether she has to write her own sketches. 

Kim, who is hosting SNL for the first time, has also reportedly sought advice from ex Kanya West about taking on the gig, because the rapper has appeared on the show in the past. 

In the playful preview, Kim continued a recent trend toward all-black outfits with a black velvet bodysuit that hugged her curves and featured a high collar. 

Halsey, who came out as nonbinary and uses she/her and they/them pronouns interchangeably, looked enigmatic in a golden brown satin robe with a hood that partially covered up her black pixie cut. 

Cecily was the most traditionally dressed of the trio, with a classic black dress with a plunging neckline and short sleeves.

Notably in the promo which SNL shared on Instagram, Kim recited her name as ‘Kim Kardashian West,’ retaining her estranged husband Kanye’s last name, which was also featured on promotional images put out by SNL.

‘Oh my gosh, this crazy thought just occurred to me in this exact moment right now,’ Cecily jumped in once Kim introduced Halsey. ‘Should we start our own girl group?’

The pop star firmly replied: ‘Absolutely not,’ with Kim adding: ‘We already said “no” when you pitched that backstage.’

‘Oh, you could hear me,’ Cecily replied. ‘I wasn’t sure because security had me in a headlock.’

A second clip also showed Kim being asked by Cecily if she is ‘nervous about doing sketch comedy.’

‘Why? I don’t have to write sketches, do I?’ she replied, to a ‘no’ from the comedian.

Halsey added that she also didn’t need to memorize lines, as they would all be written on cue cards.

Ever concerned about her appearance, Kim asked Cecily: ”Everyone else won’t look as good as me, will they?’ with Cecily replying: ‘No, absolutely not.’

‘This is so easy!’ Kim replied on a bubbly note. 

Fox News previously reported that while Kim is ‘nervous’ about her live-TV appearance, she’s had some much-needed support from estranged husband Kanye.

‘Kanye is quietly advising her on her performance, her opening monologue, even her costumes for the show,’ sources told the publication.

Despite her nerves, Kim is focusing on doing the best job she can.

‘Its a big challenge but she is determined to be a success,’ a source added. 

Kanye has never hosted the long-running series, but he has been a frequent musical guest with seven past appearances. 

Earlier in the day, Kim gave SNL’s fans a rare look into her preparation when she took over the show’s Instagram account.

Although she didn’t appear to be focused on rehearsals for the day, she showed off multiple stunning ensembles for photoshoots. 

The long-running sketch comedy show announced the social takeover in the evening, and Kim commenced to share a short video of herself in a hot pink crushed velvet jacket and matching pants while posing in front of a white background.

The person filming the clip then raised the camera up to the ceiling to show off the studio’s abundant lights pointed down at the reality star. 

To mark her time on the iconic comedy series, Kim shared a snap of her name printed in hot pink on glass in front of a photo of New York City at night.

It appeared to be scratched from removing previous guest stars’ names.

Kim looked glamorous in another photo of her in the pink outfit as stylists helped adjust her hair and makeup in her dressing room.

She wore chunky black sunglasses with a sparkling silver bodysuit decorated with beads and sequins as she strutted down the hall of the studio.

She was likely taking photos for the title card images of the host that SNL uses at the start and end of commercial breaks.  

Over on her own Instagram, Kim shared another outfit, this time clad in a black figure-hugging sleeveless bodysuit.

The ensemble was enlivened with a silver chain dress draped over it, and she also wore long black gloves that reached to her upper arms. 

She pulled down her glasses and gave a playfully look at the camera in another photo, and a closeup showed her getting a makeup touchup. 

Kim looked more relaxed in a simple black outfit, which may have been the previous suit minus the metal chains.

She was caught in the midst of reading through her lines as she looked down at her script.

Another photo featured some equipment from on-stage, with ‘Saturday Night Live’ printed on the side and decorated with musical notes.

Kim also shared a photo of trays featuring her jewelry and sunglasses for the photoshoots.

One pair of gray gloves featured a thick gold Balenciaga logo on the right hand.  

The Spanish fashion house has been responsible for many of the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star’s recent looks, including her edgy bondage-inspired suit with a full-face covering that she wore to the Met Gala last month. 

Kim seemed to be focused on photoshoots during Thursday’s preparations, as that day is usually reserved for building sets and doesn’t feature rehearsals, according to Business Insider. 

However, she’ll be busier with rehearsals on Friday and Saturday, and she’ll do a longer two-hour version of the show as a dress rehearsal with an audience at 8 p.m. on Saturday.
