Thief on pink bike with butterflies snatches girl’s phone in Queens

A thief riding a pink bike with butterflies on it snatched a 10-year-old girl’s cell phone as she walked to school in Queens this week, cops said.

The girl was walking on 34th Avenue near 102nd Street in North Corona around 8 a.m. Wednesday when the bike-riding suspect approached her and “forcibly” grabbed her phone, authorities said.

He then took off on the bike, heading south on 102nd Street, police said.

The girl was treated by her school nurse for pain in her hand.

Video released by cops late Wednesday shows the suspect getting off his bike in front of a bodega and making a purchase.

He is shown wearing dark clothing and a black hat with the word “Jordan” in red.

Police are attempting to identify the man who stole a 10-year-old's cell phone while she was walking to school on Oct. 6, 2021.
