Britney Spears 'not ready' to perform again… but fiancé has 'encouraged' her to think about it

Britney Spears’ fiancé Sam Asghari has ‘encouraged’ her to start thinking about performing again, despite the fact other sources say she’s ‘just not ready’ to take the stage yet.

The pop star, 39, previously said she wouldn’t perform until her father Jamie Spears was no longer making money off of her, and now that he’s been suspended as the conservator of her estate fans are hoping she’ll make a comeback.

But sources close to the situation say Spears isn’t in any rush, telling People: ‘It seems she’s just not ready.’

Despite this, it’s said her actor-model fiancé Sam Asghari, 27, ‘has encouraged her to think about performing again.’

‘He is a great influence on Britney. When Sam is around, Britney’s days are very focused,’ the source went on.

Sam also encourages her to keep a healthy lifestyle, according to the insider.

‘Sam is very disciplined about working out and eating healthy. When she is alone, it’s hard for her to motivate herself,’ they said.

He seems to be a constant support for the Lucky singer, with a separate source saying the pair ‘are always together.’

Britney last performed in 2019, canceling her Las Vegas show Domination around the same time her dad was recovering from a ruptured colon.

Months later Spears checked into a wellness facility, a move which she has claimed was orchestrated by her father.

Then in August 2019, Jamie Spears was involved in an altercation with grandson Sean Preston, 16, leading to a restraining order against Jamie for Sean Preston and brother Jayden James, 15.

Jamie stepped down as Spears’ personal conservator weeks later. Her remained conservator of her estate until last week while Britney’s care manager Jodi Montgomery replaced Mr. Spears as conservator of her person.

Meanwhile, it’s being said that the Spears family tried to intervene on Britney with religion, according to TMZ.

Her father Jamie became a born again Christian and at the start of her conservatorship he reportedly quoted the gospel at Britney with a bible in hand, along with business manager and fellow born-again Lou Taylor and her business associate Robin Greenhill.

At the time, it’s said Britney was only allowed to read religious materials and anyone who wasn’t a ‘good Christian’ was kept at a distance.

Though religion was a huge focus during her 2009 Circus tour, money quickly began to became central to Britney’s conservatorship arrangement, according to the insiders.

And it seems Britney harbors real resentment against her family for the years of not supporting her.

Yesterday Spears took to Instagram to slam her family for not supporting her through her conservatorship, which is still ongoing with Bessemer Trust Company now in place of Jamie.

Britney shared a picture of one woman swimming to another, as she said it ‘meant everything to her’, because one person is reaching out to another to help – as she encouraged her 35million followers to do the same.

The Sometimes singer revealed she did not feel the same support from her relatives during her conservatorship, as she claimed they used her conservatorship as an excuse not to reach out to her.

The Grammy winning star, wrote: ‘This picture is everything to me!!! It makes me want to cry … she’s saving her divine feminine sister!!!!’

Explaining her own past situation, she said: ‘I suggest if you have a friend that’s been in a house that feels really small for four months … no car … no phone …

‘No door for privacy and they have to work around 10 hours a day 7 days a week and give tons of blood weekly with never a day off … I strongly suggest you go pick up your friend and get them the hell outta there!!!!!’

Britney specifically pointed out her family for what she perceived as inaction amid her public conservatorship battle with Jamie.

While she doesn’t mention anyone by name, Britney’s siblings have notably remained silent over the removal of their father as her conservator.

When asked by reporters how he felt about the news, her older brother Bryan, 44, refused to comment on the matter.

Her younger sister Jamie-Lynn also kept quiet on social media, but has previously spoken of her support for Britney in a series of tearful videoes in June 2020.

Jamie-Lynn, 30, said at the time: ‘If ending the conservatorship… or whatever the hell else she wants to do to be happy, I support that.’

Britney’s mother, Lynne Spears, has advocated for her daughter’s freedom in court but not until after the #FreeBritney movement launched in 2019.

She said; ‘If you’re like my family who says things like ‘sorry, you’re in a conservatorship’ … probably thinking you’re different so they can f*** with you!!!!’

Britney went on to reference her attorney Mathew Rosengart, who has been at the helm of her court battle against her father Jamie, as they fought to have him removed as her head conservator.

She said:  ‘Thankfully I found an amazing attorney Mathew Rosengart who has helped change my life!!!!’

Rosengart recently called for a probe of Jamie and his dealings in the longtime conservatorship, which was implemented 13 years ago amid a pileup of personal problems for the pop star.

‘Jamie Spears and others are going to face even more serious ramifications for his misconduct,’ the lawyer said in a news conference outside of Los Angeles Superior Court last week, vowing a ‘top-to-bottom’ audit of Jamie’s actions in the longtime arrangement.

On Monday Britney took to social media to thank the fans involved in the #FreeBritney movement, the nationwide group of supporters for the singer who have taken to the streets to demonstrate against the controversial legal arrangement.

She wrote: ‘#FreeBritney movement … I have no words … because of you guys and your constant resilience in freeing me from my conservatorship … my life is now in that direction !!!! I cried last night for two hours cause my fans are the best and I know it …I feel your hearts and you feel mine … that much I know is true.’

In June, Britney spoke in a hearing about her hopes to end the arrangement, which was initially implemented amid a pileup of personal problems.

‘I just want my life back,’ she said. ‘And it’s been 13 years. And it’s enough. It’s been a long time since I’ve owned my money. And it’s my wish and my dream for all of this to end without being tested.’

The conservatorship remains intact, but could be terminated at a hearing slated for November 12.
