Instead of being a professional dancer, she now acts as one of the hosts on the spin-off programme, It Takes Two.

Earlier this year, television presenter and host of the show for 10 years, Zoe Ball, announced she was quitting her role.

This sparked mass speculation as to who could replace her before the professional dancer took the spot.

In a statement released by the BBC at the time, Janette said: “It’s a dream come true to become part of the It Takes Two team!

“Although it’s impossible to fill in the shoes of a legend like Zoe Ball, I hope to make her and all of the Strictly fans proud.

“I will miss dancing on that iconic dance floor weekly, but forever grateful to continue being a part of the Strictly Come Dancing family!”

Janette is still involved in the Strictly world however, helping the stars whenever she can, including her husband, Aljaz Skorjanec.

He is partnered with Dragons’ Dens Sara Davies this year, bouncing back in week two with a tear jerking ballroom dance.
