Police have apprehended a suspect who shot and killed someone inside a Philadelphia hospital around 12.12am on Monday morning before fleeing in a U-Haul and shooting two cops who tracked him down.
The suspect was also shot during a gunfight in the city’s Parkside section following the hospital shooting. The cops and suspect are currently being hospitalized for their injuries.
The suspect opened fire on the ninth floor of the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Center City, according to 6 ABC. The unidentified victim died from their injuries.
The shooter is described as a man in blue scrubs and a mask with a black backpack. Investigators have not released any further details on the suspect or victim. It’s still unclear what led to the gunfire.
