Armed customer fatally shoots gun-toting robber at Texas restaurant

An armed customer witnessing a robbery at a Texas fried chicken restaurant last week sprung into action– fatally shooting one gun-toting suspect and wounding the other, reports said.

The wild scene unfolded at Church’s Chicken in Port Arthur at about 8:45 p.m. on Friday, KDFM reported.

The duo of crooks fled the fast foot eatery after they were shot. But they were soon located and one died at an area hospital, police said.

The other suspect is expected to recover.

Police said the armed citizen stayed on scene and was questioned by police before being cut loose, Fox News reported.

No charges against the surviving suspect were immediately announced.

Investigators are looking into a possible connection between Friday’s mayhem and a robbery at a nearby Jack in the Box from a day earlier.
