Jerry Seinfeld admits there are a few ‘Seinfeld’ episodes he wants to ‘fix’

Not all TV shows born in the ’80s and ’90s have aged well.

Jerry Seinfeld admitted there’s a few episodes of his beloved namesake sitcom “Seinfeld” that he would “fix” if he had the chance.

Seinfeld, 67, expressed his thoughts on the show’s slightly contentious legacy during a press event.

“There’s a number of them that I would love to have a crack at, but I don’t really believe, philosophically, in changing or even thinking about the past,” the New York comedian told People and other journalists at Citi Field on Sept. 29.

“My philosophy of life is that [it] happened the way it happened, and we’re going to go from here. And that’s the best way to … live,” he said.

The “Bee Movie” star added, “I think regret is a philosophical position that I disagree with. It kind of assumes you could have changed the past, so I wouldn’t even think of that.”

The cast consisted of Seinfeld, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jason Alexander and Michael Richards.

He continued, “But if you forced me or you gave me a time machine, yeah, there’s a few — I would fix some things.” He declined to to specify which episodes.

“Seinfeld” aired on NBC from 1989 until 1998 over the course of nine seasons. “The show about nothing” also stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jason Alexander and Michael Richards as they experience the daily minutiae of Manhattan life.

Seinfeld also remembered the conversation he had with his longtime cast when he knew the show was going to reach its finale. “I do remember when I was in the ninth season and I was thinking, ‘Maybe it’s time to wrap this up.’ I remember inviting Michael and Julia and Jason to my dressing room, and we all just sat there and we stared at each other,” he said. “And I went, ‘You know, I was thinking maybe this is our moment to make a good exit. We’ve had a lot of good fortune here. Maybe we shouldn’t push our luck too far.’ And we all agreed that this was the right moment.”

All 180 episodes of “Seinfeld” are now streaming on Netflix.
