Despite Phillip’s assertion, viewers weren’t happy when the presenter joked about shortages later on in the programme.
Infuriated viewer @nigel_1963 tweeted: “Phillip Schofield said in an item earlier ‘we didn’t report on the fuel crisis’ and yet now cracks a joke about fuel availability and cost at every opportunity #ThisMorning #canthaveitbothways.”
