PS5 UK stock coming to GAME and Argos, Currys PlayStation 5 restock update

More PS5 stock is coming to GAME And Argos this week, providing the final restocks of September.

Console hunters have been given multiple chances at buying next-gen gaming machines from several big retailers over the previous weeks.

And it appears that more is being planned during the current month that will help end things with a bang.

According to the latest reports, GAME will be restocking the PS5 before Friday, having already released thousands of consoles earlier this month.

More PS5 stock will be available to buy on Thursday, September 30, between 8am and 12pm BST if everything happens as predicted.

The news has been shared by PS5 Stock UK – a reliable stock tracker account on Twitter – which is known for providing the best guides on what’s happening next.

The latest message from the account on Twitter reads: “The PlayStation 5 Disc & Digital Edition consoles (+bundles) have been given the green light within GAME, planned to drop on Thursday 30th September.

“This is the final date, no more changes are expected. Should be a 9am-11:30am drop. Priority Insured delivery methods will be shipped by the 4th of October, all other delivery method orders will be shipped by the 11th of October.”

And GAME isn’t the only UK retailer linked to a fresh PS5 restock before the end of the month.

Argos is expected to release another shipment of next-gen consoles within the next 48-hours, this usually happens very early in the morning.

Another message from PS5 Stock UK on Twitter explains: “Most of the Argos console distributions have been made, which means the company is ready to go live with PS5 consoles this week, any day between 28th September to 1st October.

“Only Disc Edition shipments have come in however, Argos will be selling Digital Editions that some stores have kept behind from the previous restock. Though keep in mind that the Digital Edition will not be as widely available as the Disc Edition.”

It’s unclear if Argos will be releasing this new stock drop as a digital exclusive, or leave most of it within retail stores.

Currys is another retailer which is expected to offer more PlayStation 5 console to buy, but this isn’t expected to happen until later in October 2021.

Knowing when a PS5 restock is happening can be vital, but it’s also worth knowing how each retailer handles its shipments.

And here are a few examples of how best to try and buy a PlayStation 5 console from leading UK retailers:

ARGOS: The Argos website is notorious for crashing and being unable to complete purchases when site traffic is high. Stock trackers suggest using the mobile Argos app and keeping an eye on local store listings.

GAME: GAME is a UK retailer that offers the most regular stock updates for PS5 consoles. However, console hunters have been warned to use Guest Checkout, as this option is less likely to crash when completing a purchase. The next PS5 stock is expected on September 30.

AMAZON UK: Amazon UK runs better under strain but still comes with a few kinks worth mentioning. Having an account set up with your card details is a good start, and gamers should also try adding a console to their wishlist before checking out. PS5 consoles are currently sold out.
